We have been blessed with a great richness of culture,
faith and heritage among the lives of the people in our
town and its many beautiful town lands and we felt in
the year of Culture 2014 in Limerick it should be marked
appropriately.
The Parish Pastoral Council of Abbeyfeale undertook
to produce a little booklet that would give our visitors a
snapshot of our place and the supports, care and concern
available to all who live here.

Parkinson’s Awareness Week
April 2nd, 2015PARKINSON’S AWARENESS WEEK
Parkinson’s Awareness Week will run from 6th to 11th April, 2015 and as part of this the Mid-West Branch of the Parkinson’s Association will hold a Fundraising Coffee Morning at Bobby Byrne’s Wolfe Tone Bar, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick, on Thursday 9th April next from 10.00am to 12 noon. This is part of our continuous and ongoing efforts to raise much needed funding – we do not receive any State support.
There are approximately 450 people in the Mid -West who suffer with Parkinson’s disease. The Mid–West Branch is run by voluntary effort so all monies raised are used for the provision of services for patients. The services include information meetings addressed by Guest Speakers with specialist knowledge of Parkinson’s disease; Physical Therapy, Hydrotherapy and Speech Therapy through the medium of signing.
The support of the Public would be greatly appreciated on the 9th April at Bobby’s. All are welcome.
